Women's Ministry
The goal of the Women's Ministry at Calvary is for women of all ages and stages to cultivate a Christ-centered, joy-filled life through the use of their God-given gifts, their fellowship, and their mutual support for one another in serving the Lord in their local church, their comunity and beyond. We offer many opportunities for you to make some great, sweet friends who love the Lord and would love to help you on your growth into becoming more like Christ. Welcome!

Dinner & A Craft
Make your reservation to attend this event on Saturday, March 6 from 5:30 - 7:30 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall. Women of all ages & stages are invited! A $5 pasta dinner will be served & you will take home a craft. Samples of the crafts can be viewed in the attachment. Each craft class is limited & payment is due when you sign up. Sign-ups will take place on Sundays, February 21 & 28 immediately after the Morning Worship Service & on Wednesdays, February 24 & March 3 prior to "Wednesdays in the Word."
Not into crafts - Join us for the food & fellowship! Be sure to indicate it on the sign-up list.
Need childcare - $2 per child includes a pizza dinner & payment is due when you sign up your child.
Wednesdays in the Word
Join us on March 3 in the Fellowship Hall as we begin our next study, "Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed: A Study of David," by Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer, & Kay Arthur. "David was anointed but he made mistakes. And though he was redeemed-still he grappled with the choices he made. But he was transformed-and we can be, too."
The format will be 1 week of DVD viewing & 1 week of discussion which will take us 12 weeks to complete the 6-week study. Micah Putman will lead the 6:00 - 7:00 P.M. class & Brooke Osborn will lead the 7:00 - 8:00 P.M. class. The member book is $14.11. If assistance is needed to enable you to participate in this study, scholarships are available. Please do not hesitate to contact me.
Fresh Grounded Faith Women's Event
Mark your calendar now to attend this event on Friday, April 9 from 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. through Saturday, April 10 from 9:00 A.M. - 12:30 P.M. at First Baptist, New Orleans. It will feature the Bible teaching of Jennifer Rothschild & the music of Alicia Williamson Garcia & Michael O'Brien. In addition, Lisa Whelchel from NBC's "The Facts of Life" & New Orleans' own TV news anchor Sally-Ann Roberts will be special guests.

Sign up to reserve your Early Bird Special ticket on February 10, 14, 21 28. Payment will be collected when you receive your ticket. Make sure you sign up during "Coffee & Doughnuts" or after the morning worship service. For every 10 tickets purchased, we will receive 1 free ticket which will be a scholarship ticket. Let's make it possible for every woman to attend.
