Opportunity to PRAY

Continue to pray for the people affected by Hurricane Harvey. Pray for wisdom as they deal with decisions about their homes and vehicles. Pray that they would feel the peace of God in their hearts. Pray for the North American Mission Board, our New Orleans Baptist Association, and the Louisiana Disaster Relief Teams as they train, collect supplies, and serve.

Remember prayer is the first step, not the last. Pray for miracles.

Opportunity to GIVE

If you feel led to give financially to the relief work, you can give directly through Calvary Baptist Church. You can do this online at www.calvaryneworleans.com or through our giving on Sunday mornings. Make your donation with the note “Harvey Relief.” Every dollar given will be used directly on behalf of the New Orleans Baptist Churches and will go toward helping those impacted by Harvey.

Opportunity to DONATE

Calvary is going to be a gathering point for donations given to the relief work. We will accept donations Monday – Friday from 9am-3pm in the Front Office. The only items we will be accepting will be the following and they must be NEW:

Opportunity to SERVE

Here are some immediate opportunities we have to serve:

1. TRAIN: You are able to complete the official Southern Baptist Disaster Relief mud-out training online on this webpage. Anyone for whom the registration cost is a deterrent should contact NOBA at 504-282-1428 .

2. DEPLOY: Those willing to volunteer can contact the association to take part in deployment with other associated churches, including a trip this weekend, September 21st-24th, into Beaumont.

3. IDENTIFY: Let us know any personal connections to our Calvary Families affected by the storm. Contact our church office with information on specific people you know that need assistance. We will work with our partners in an effort to meet those needs.
