At Calvary, we believe in sharing our lives together. Community has the power to help us grow in our faith and connect us to God.
Real Relationships Change Everything.
John 13:34-35 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
What are Groups?
Groups are groups of 8-12 adults gathering around God’s Word to share in their faith journey. Our Groups practice their faith through our BIO process.
Before God – Walking by the Spirit daily
Your group will come before God through Bible study and prayer. These elements are designed to draw you closer to God and to understand how to live as an everyday follower of Christ
In Community – Sharing your life with others
Your group will fellowship together every week by meals together, times of discussion, and other designed events. Groups allow you to meet others in the church and form bonds of friendship within the church.
On Mission – God’s purposes fulfilled in you
Your group will do various mission projects each semester. These project are designed based on the type of group and will allow you to see God use you to make a difference in New Orleans.

If you long to see God work in miraculous ways in the life of your church, you will love the faith-building, life-giving message found in The Grave Robber. Join pastor and bestselling author Mark Batterson on a seven-week journey as he reveals the incredible power of the seven miraculous signs of Jesus found in the Gospel of John and walks us through the very spots where Jesus chose to reveal himself through these miraculous events.
Miracles are happening all around us all the time, but you won’t see them if you don’t know how to look for them.
Thriving In Babylon
These are confusing times for many Christians. Traditional biblical values are not only rejected; it seems as if they’re attacked on every front. It’s all happened at warp speed, leaving many of us spiritually and culturally disoriented or even fearful, frustrated, and angry. How can we spiritually survive in an increasingly spiritually hostile environment? And is there any hope for the next generation?
In this 5-session series, Larry Osborne introduces us to a man forced to live in a fast-changing and godless society. This man faced fears about the future, concern for his safety, and the discouragement of a world that seemed to be falling apart at warp speed. That man was Daniel, and with the power of hope, humility, and wisdom, he not only survived, but thrived.
Each session also includes real-life stories of people struggling to thrive in an ever-increasing godless society. Though Daniel lived thousands of years ago, he has much to teach us today.
Work as Worship
Many Christians—from the CEO to the teacher to the stay-at-home mom—spend a great deal of time working and yet do not realize how their work intersects with their faith. They compartmentalize their faith to Sunday morning and see the rest of their week as having little to do with their walk with God. Scripture, however, makes no division between the sacred and secular parts of our lives. God gives us our work, talent and skills so that through them we might worship Him.
This six-part Bible study resource will challenge all of us to consider the reason God calls us to work. It will cause you to consider why He may have you in your current position and encourage you to look beyond how your job makes you feel and see purpose and significance in your work.
Through powerful biblical teaching, real-life documentary stories and engaging video illustrations, this series will help us understand the biblical mandate for work. We have been called to work with excellence, integrity, and diligence, and our careers are opportunities to be on mission for Christ in the marketplace. God gives us great potential for impact on our families, churches, communities and the world through the blessing of our work.
We’ve all had an “aha moment” in our lives, an insight that changes everything. With everyday examples and trademark testimonies, best-selling author Kyle Idleman draws on Scripture to reveal how three key elements—awakening, honesty, action—can produce the same kind of “aha!” in our spiritual lives.
In trademark City on a Hill style, the AHA Small Group Study marries straightforward bible teaching and cinematic storytelling. In it, three modern-day prodigals seek life apart from the Father, find themselves alone and desperate in their own distant country, and are faced with their AHA moment.
